About Covington, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Fountain County, Indiana, Covington is a small city that also serves as the county seat. As of 2010, about 2,700 people call this community home. Covington was established in the 1820s, and it is located along the Wabash River. It is easily accessible via Interstate 74, which passes a half a mile south of Covington.

Although Covington has a fairly small population, there are a few interesting places to visit in the city. Covington is home to the first indoor beach in the Midwest – Inspired by Nature – which offers a sand beach, volleyball, and the opportunity to dig for seashells and shark teeth. There are a variety of unique restaurants in the community, including Beef House Restaurant, Benjamin’s Restaurant, and Overpass Pizza. Covington is also home to several interesting shopping destinations, such as House with the Lions Antiques and the Wabash Valley Flower Shop.

Covington area weather conditions will vary with the season, so it is crucial that residents have access to affordable and highly efficient climate controls. In the summer, conditions are hot and humid, although severe storms are also common. While average high temperatures usually reach the 80s, thermostat readings into the 90s are also possible. To stay comfortable, most residents rely on a central air conditioner, and HVAC technicians recommend that they have these systems serviced regularly to ensure they will work properly when needed.

Winter weather conditions can be dangerous for other reasons, requiring that homeowners invest in the right home heating system. Temperatures tend to be cold throughout the winter months, and average daily highs at the coldest point in the year will barely surpass the freezing point. Without the right gas or electric furnace at home, indoor conditions could become dangerous. Expensive repairs might also be warranted should pipes and plumbing systems freeze.
