About Boswell, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Boswell, Indiana is a small town found in Benton County’s Grant Township. It is part of the Lafayette, IN Metro Statistical Area and is home to about 780 residents. This community was first laid out by Charles Moore but was replatted to its current form in 1872. Today, Boswell is located only about 30 miles west of Lafayette, and it is 92 miles northwest of Indianapolis.

While Boswell is small in both population and total area, there are some noteworthy businesses found here. The town is home to a few interesting restaurants, which include Farmers Table and Tastee Treets, while the Hub Plaza is a popular destination to get some gas and grab a slice of pizza. Shopping is available at Manta Custom Rugs and Gibson Furniture, and the Benton County Fair Grounds are also located just outside of the town’s limits.

Boswell is found within a humid continental climate zone. Summers here are hot with high humidity, and temperatures often reach the 80s and 90s. However, since the area experiences high humidity, June, July, and August often feel much warmer than indicated on the thermostat. While the region is a popular for outdoor recreation seekers, residents will need a cool place to beat the heat on the hottest days. An efficient central air conditioner with a good SEER rating can provide this relief.

Winters in Boswell are cold. Average high temperatures only reach the 30s in January, while overnight lows fall into the 20s or teens. Snowfall is moderate compared to other parts of the U.S., but the frigid temperatures can be dangerous on their own without the right gas or electric furnace at home. Your Boswell area HVAC technician can help you to find the climate control systems that will keep your family safe during this cold and unpredictable season.
